The Crimson Trace Lasergrips 1911 Full Size is a polymer, grip-replacement laser sight for select 1911 and 1991A1 full size model pistols. Supported 1911 brands include Auto-Ordnance, Les Baer, Colt, Kimber, Nighthawk Custom, Olympic Arms, Para-Ordnance (full-size, single-stack), Safari Arms, Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson, Springfield Armory, Taurus, Dan Wesson, and Wilson Combat. The lasergrip activation pad is comprised of a rubber overmold and supports multiple activation areas (depends on the model) which allow for a more natural firing grip.
Note: There are multiple versions of this lasergrip available that differ in laser color and activation type. One variant even includes an NRA logo on the grip.
Additional features include:
- An pressure-activated switch—it activates under natural grip pressure;
- single or dual side activation areas (depends on model);
- a master on/off switch;
- two 2032 lithium batteries with more than four hours of life;
- a 5mW laser;
- a red, green or infrared laser (depends on the lasergrip model);
- a .5″ dot at 50′;
Crimson Trace says this laser is factory sighted at 50′. You can adjust it for windage and elevation, and install it yourself.
